Homo Faber Event

From April 10, 2022 to May 1, 2022 the exhibition Homo Faber in the City, dedicated to high craftsmanship, returns to Venice. An opportunity to discover the crafts of art walking through the Venetian streets For its second edition, the event turns the spotlight on the excellence of the masters of art with a special focus on the masters of Japan, their craft traditions and their influence on the creativity of the European craft art

15 exhibition spaces, each dedicated to different aspects of high craftsmanship and conceived by a team of world-renowned designers, curators and architects The event offers the public a rare opportunity to explore the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and the magnificent architectural complex of the Giorgio Cini Foundation.  Halls such as the Longhena Library and the former Gandini pool, usually closed to the public, will be open to admire the scenarios where the artistic crafts are the protagonists, and importantly visitors will be able to meet the artisans and share moments with them while they work.

Outside of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the Homo Faber in Città project will allow visitors to discover a secret Venice, exploring the craftsmanship of excellence that lurks among the city’s canals, with exclusive visits to workshops and ateliers of Venetian artisans, museums, stores and more using an interactive guide, visitors will be able to create customized tours and experience the city in a completely new way.
